Words Matter Week 2017

Each of our schools participated in activities and events that recognized the value and importance of our words during Words Matter Week (February 6-10). The week focuses on the power that words can have to make others feel good about themselves or to bring others down. This is the 4th year SRVUSD celebrated the week.

The hope is that the ongoing dialogue inspires students, staff, and parents to be mindful of the words they choose in day-to-day conversations, not only during this week of awareness, but all year long.

The week was a success thanks to the partnership between the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs and the District's Climate Committee.

Words Matter Week focuses on the power that words can have in making others feel good about themselves or how words could bring others down. This is the fifth year we will be celebrating the week, and our hope is that the ongoing dialogue inspires students, staff, and parents to be mindful of the words they choose in day-to-day conversations, not only during this week of awareness, but all year long.

The San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs is proud to celebrate this week-long celebration together with the District's Climate Committee. It is because of the partnership that our PTAs have with the school district, that we can achieve great things.
