To ensure that you continue to receive the communications you need and want, please update your PTA email list subscriptions by unsubscribing from any lists you no longer want and subscribing to new any lists.
Parents of high school graduates: If you'd like to stay in touch on an occasional level, consider unsubscribing from your high school list, but subscribing to the respective alumni parent list.
Interest Lists: The PTA Council also has the following interest lists to which you may wish to subscribe: Special Needs, Parent Ed., and Legislative Advocacy.
We look forward to continuing to fulfill PTA's mission of helping to facilitate communication between home and school.

We and SRVUSD Recognize the Work of PTA this Year
At a breakfast event at the beautiful Blackhawk Country Club on May 22nd, the outgoing President and EVP of each PTA unit was recognized by their site principal for their contribution to their school community, and the incoming PTA President and EVP were introduced. The Council honored the following individuals with service awards for their outstanding, council/district-wide service to children and youth: Margie Hart - for her leadership as co-chair of the Measure D Bond Campaign Paul Gardner - for his 12 years of service on the SRVUSD Board of Education Vanesssa Berastain - for her leadership of the Parent & Community Concerns Committee and the annual Parenting Conference Cathe Culbertson - for her continuing PTA service as a financial officer and adviser, as well as being the treasurer of Citizens for Quality Schools for 5 years Todd Gary - for his significant service to special needs parents and staff as the Special Need Liaison and for his leadership on various special needs committees and teams over the past nine years Bekki Livingston - for her significant service to the community as Council board member, Council President and Co-Chair of the Measure D campaign John Fensterwald, Editor of the Thoughts on Public Education blog - for his continued participation as a moderator and speaker in our Advocacy Day event as for the contribution he makes toward increased understanding of the challenges, issues, and importance of public education. The Council also presented a $500 scholarship to a high school senior from each of the district's six high schools. The students were selected by their principal for the service to their school and the community. Congratulations to: Jenna McNaughton, California High School Cole Standley, Del Amigo High School Aradhna Madireddi, Dougherty Valley High School Sophie Tseng, Monte Vista High School Turner Stanton, San Ramon Valley High School Liliana Garcia, Venture High School The event ended with the installation of the Council's 2013-14 Executive Board by 32nd District PTA President, Denise Jennison.
